Railway Station
The Amtrak Station is located at
1001 Loyola Avenue and is a very short distance from our bed and
breakfast. Simply call United at 522-9771 or walk outside the station
where taxis are readily available. This is a metered fare and will
be no more than $10.
Limousine Transfers
McMurphy’s is pleased to arrange
a private car to meet you, or return you to either airport or railway

Arriving by car
Directions from I-10 West:
(From Airport)
Follow I-10 East to the CBD (Central Business District)
Take Exit 234 A towards the Westbank (Do not take the exit to the
right leading to US hwy. 90 West/Claiborne Avenue). This veers away
from I-10.
Pass the Loyola Avenue exit.
Note the ¾ mile sign to St. Charles Avenue exit - Take this
exit
Pass through the 1st stoplight - At 2nd stoplight, take a right
onto St. Charles Avenue.
Continue down St. Charles Avenue for 2.3 miles - Take a right on
Napoleon Avenue.
Follow Napoleon Avenue down 1.1 miles (pass Claiborne Avenue).
3115 Napoleon is located on the right hand side.
Directions from I-10 East:
There are several main approaches to New Orleans
from North and East.
Whether you come in through Jackson, Mississippi (I-59); Montgomery,
Alabama, Louisiana (I-10): Meridian, Mississippi (I-59); Montgomery,
Alabama (I-65); Mobile, Alabama (I-10); the goal is I-10 and St.
Charles Avenue.
From Jackson and Baton Rouge:
Follow I-10 West to New Orleans
*Upon approaching the Central Business District, Superdome, stay
in the middle lane. It is marked Highway 90/West Bank/Mississippi
River Bridge.
DO NOT HEAD TO LEFT OR I-10 EAST (Slidell, Vieux Carre, or Poydras
Street). This is a fast and tricky area so stay alert!
Pass the Loyola Avenue Exit
Note the ¾ mile sign to St. Charles Avenue – Take this
exit.
At the second stoplight, take a right onto St. Charles Avenue.
From Meridian, Montgomery,
Mobile:
Follow I-10 West to New Orleans
Do not take I-610 West to Baton Rouge
*Upon approaching the Central Business District, Superdome –
Do not take the right, west or to Baton Rouge. Again, this is fast
and tricky.
Stay in the left lane following signs “West Bank Expressway”.
You will ultimately be going in the left direction. After you make
the turn, the next exit to the right will be the St. Charles Avenue
exit.
Exit here. At the 2nd stoplight, take a right onto St. Charles Avenue.
Follow St. Charles Avenue to Napoleon Avenue. Take
a right. Follow Napoleon 1.0 miles (pass Claiborne). 3115 is located
on the right hand side.
The French Quarter
McMurphy’s offers a drop off to the French
Quarter or Convention Center each day OR unlimited Visi-passes for
the streetcar and bus service. The French Quarter is a quick and
easy 2-½ mile ride away. We have the advantage of being in
a beautiful, historical area with quick access to all famous landmarks
and activities without the noise and constant activities!
Business Services
McMurphy’s offers wireless
cable access for laptop users at no charge. We also have computers
for your use while visiting. In addition, we offer a full range
of business services. Traveling for business will never be so comfortable
or convenient. Business can be fun!

Our Cancellation Policy
We hope that you will not have to cancel your reservation.
We are looking forward to your visit. It is important to understand
our policy about cancellations. Unlike hotels, with hundreds of
rooms, we do not overbook. Therefore, we need ample time to rebook
your reservation in case of a cancellation and hope you can understand
the important need for this policy. This helps us stay in business.
Deposit Policy:
One night’s deposit is required to confirm a reservation.
The balance is due upon arrival. Change in your plans must be made
ten (10) days prior to your arrival. No refunds for departures earlier
than confirmed.
Cancellation prior to ten (10) days refundable minus $25 cancellation
fee. Reservations made mess than 10 days prior to a scheduled visit
require advance payment and is not refundable upon cancellation.
Special Events: Payment to McMurphy’s sixty (60) days prior
to your arrival. Deposit of one night upon confirmation of original
reservation.
REFUNDS for cancellation within sixty (60) days prior to your arrival.
Special rates and minimum stays apply per confirmation.
NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED FOR THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OF
TIME CONFIRMED.
